German packaging material manufacturer Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) has recently launched a revolutionary product — the kp Elite® Nova 100% recycled PET (rPET) blister modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) tray.

This product utilizes a closed-loop recycling system and lightweight design, optimizing stress conduction pathways through a unique ribbed structure that achieves approximately 10% weight reduction compared to similar products while ensuring barrier properties, seal integrity, and mechanical strength. Experimental data shows that the tray exhibits 15% lower deformation than traditional PET trays under a 20 kg static load, is fully compatible with the gas exchange processes of existing MAP systems, and precisely maintains oxygen concentration within the 0.5%-3% freshness preservation range.

Leveraging the Tray2Tray® closed-loop recycling system, the product enables circular regeneration from post-consumer PET bottles to high-end food packaging, providing an innovative solution that combines sustainability with functionality for the high-protein food packaging sector.
